Exploring excellence in Scottish schools

The diagram below shows the 10 dimensions of excellence, and the relationships between them. At the heart of the model there are two key dimensions which derive from the highest standards of learning and teaching, an essential context for all that the school does.

'Excellence'

This term describes the furthest end of the quality spectrum. When we think of excellence, we think of an outstanding aspect, a model of its kind - the very best there is.
